Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal data I collect through shipyournewsletter.com, why I collect it, and what you can do about it. The short version: I collect as little as possible, I use it only to send you what you asked for, and I never sell it.

Who I am

Ship Your Newsletter is run by me, Jurgen Dhaese, from Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I'm responsible for the data described on this page. Questions? Email me at jurgen@shipyournewsletter.com.

What I collect and why

When you join my newsletter: your email address. I use it to send you the newsletter and the free guide you signed up for. I do this with your consent, and you can unsubscribe with one click at the bottom of every email.

When you book a call: your name, your email address and your answers to the booking questions. I use them to prepare for our call and to hold it.

When you fill in my survey: your answers. I use them to understand what you need help with, so I can send you things that are useful.

When you email me: whatever you choose to share. I use it to reply.

My email tool also shows me whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. I use that to see which topics are useful and to keep my list clean.

The tools I use

I only share your data with the tools I need to run this site and my newsletter: Kit (sends the newsletter and stores my subscriber list), Webflow (hosts this website), TidyCal (handles call bookings), Typeform (runs the survey) and Google Workspace (my email and calendar).

Some of these companies are based in the United States. They handle your data under agreements that meet European privacy rules. I never sell your data, and I never pass it on for advertising.

Cookies

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The booking calendar and the survey are run by TidyCal and Typeform, and they may place cookies they need to work. If I ever add anything that tracks you, I'll update this page and ask for your permission first.

How long I keep it

Your newsletter details: until you unsubscribe. Booking details, survey answers and emails: up to two years after we last spoke. Want something removed sooner? Ask me and I'll delete it within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to show you the data I have about you, correct it, delete it, use less of it, or send it to you in a format you can take elsewhere. You can also withdraw your consent whenever you like.

Email jurgen@shipyournewsletter.com and I'll reply within 30 days. Not happy with my answer? You can file a complaint with the Dutch privacy regulator, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes to this page

If I change how I handle your data, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
